Pull people up, not push people down

THE HARSH REALITY OF SOCIAL MEDIA:

Sometimes I do feel social media has become a somewhat toxic environment regarding insecurities and judgement. If someone posts something that they find funny, it's up to them on what they post, other people have no right to judge or criticise one's choice. There are many people who have sports, arts, music, and poem pages, and they should be allowed the freedom to do that without being judged, put down and be left thinking that they aren’t good enough.

I am sure, apps like instagrams were originally a platform for business to expand and for people to show themselves and their talents to the world, and it is how it should be today as well. One like, one follow, one share can affect someone in both positive and negative ways, and it does go unnoticed.

There is so much going on behind every photo, every piece of music and edit, which can be misleading. Many people including me do feel like they aren’t good enough for something, be it painting or someone's body image. No one should ever feel like they aren’t living their best life. Unknowingly the online community has created a stigma that: you should look a certain way or you should only post specific jokes or you should be up to a certain level in your art skills, to be able to post it and get sheer amounts of likes. This is something I believe doesn’t need to be there. Yes, I post a lot of stories, this is only because I wanna tell my friends and my followers about me, and who I am and I wanna let myself be heard. I have had people unfollow me because I post too much and I am fine with it, cause I don't need to deal with it.

In conclusion, let people enjoy social media, let them show off their talents no matter what and let them be their true selves and just be supportive guys. Someone wants to make a meme page, be happy for them and support them etc.

DO NOT LET ANY SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORM BE TOXIC
