MORE ABOUT ME

Hi everyone! Welcome to 'Staying In'– a website and online community where people can easily share their experiences and stories of what they've been doing during the COVID-19 lockdown. I'm Janhavi, the creator of this blog and website. I'm currently studying in Sixth Form (with A-Levels in Further Maths, Maths, Physics and Economics) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

So why'd I make this website? Well, a lot of my friends and family were complaining about how bored they were (considering how many of us are currently in lockdown because of COVID-19) and how they didn't really know what to do with their free time– thus the easiest option was to resort to Netflix and video games.

However, after spending my first week indoors doing absolutely nothing (which strangely also felt pretty good), I decided that there was actually SO much that we could do at home. This was the best time to do all the things that we've "never had time for". Therefore, I made a website with some of the links and resources that I felt were pretty useful for certain skills and activities (which I also split into groups), so that people could easily get started on learning something new.

After that though, I realized that I couldn't possibly have every useful resource or activity on my website, it just wouldn't be doable. I felt that sharing and exploring other people's stories and ideas would make a perfect addition as it allows everyone to learn from each other, and so I turned this into a website/blog. As well as the blog, people can also opt to easily post their stories and ideas on Facebook/Instagram and tag us @stayinginx so that others can explore what they've been doing.

Thank you for visiting 'Staying In' and remember to stay safe, active and productive.
